I've been missing!

So I know I've been AWOL for a while. But I'm back. The reason why I was gone for a while is because I spending time with my family in the Philippines. I was there for 2 months. Long vacation right? It was worth it though. Coz I haven't seen them for 2 1/2 years. 

Anyways, when I was there we went to majayjay falls in Laguna. It was awesome. Fresh running water and all. The travel wasn't bad. 2 hours from my hometown antipolo. The road going there made me a little dizzy coz it was zigzaggy but it was fine. I was sleeping all the way there. Lol. 

We left at around 430 then arrived at 7 coz we had to stop for gas and you know, call of nature. When we got there, at first I was like, eeww. But then after walking a little bit more and crossing a bridge, there it was!

Store your lashes this way!

I was packing my makeup bag today and bought some new lashes. I always get annoyed when they take up too much space in my suitcase, so I tried some thing and it worked! I bought a this weekly pill storage from Walmart and put all my lashes in it.

Yesterday's makeup!

I'm getting ready for my Philippine vacation so I went out for a little shopping. This was my makeup of the day (motd)

1. I started with a clean, moisturized and primed face
2. I put on my foundation and I'm using cover girl's 3 in1 foundation. I didn't set my face with a powder since my foundation is matte.
3. Concealer under my eye to cover dark circles. I used a few shades lighter than me to serve as a highlight too. I also put it at the bridge of my nose, cuspids bow and chin.
4. I have a fat face so contouring is a must for me. I used revlons photo ready bronzer.
5. I did my eye makeup.
6. I used mocha blush by Mac and put it at the apples of my cheek.i also used a highlight, soft and gentle by Mac.
7. For my lips, I used a pink lip liner by essence and macs speed dial.
8. And at the end I always spray my face with urban decays all nighter.

Lorac mint edition

I have the Lorac pro palette and the unzipped, and I love those eye shadows! Lorac cosmetics recently came out with a new palette. It contains 8 eye shadows a highlighter, a blush, and a lipgloss. The eyeshadows are divided into two. 4 are matte and the other 4 are shimmery. The quality of the eye shadows are magnificent. I have never been disappointed with Lorac cosmetics. They are very pigmented and creamy.

The highlight is typical. Very pigmented too. Just need a little bit and it will give you that really Dewey look. The blush is coral-ly color with shimmer to it. It's very comparable to Nars orgasm. Perfect for spring.

Lets talk about the lipgloss.it is thick. No scent to it, and its a cute nude color. Perfect pair for the eye shadows in the palette. This retails for $49. I think it's a bit pricey considering the pro palette is only $42 with 16 shadows on it. But like I said, it has a highlight, blush and a gloss so I guess that's what made it a little more expensive.

All in all its a great palette for summer and spring. Pricey, but worth it. Here's the product and swatches.

New packaging for elf.

I was at target earlier to look for some stuff that I needed to bring to my vacation to my homeland, the Philippines. Of course, I had to stop by the makeup section to check if there's some new stuff for me to review. And then this caught my eye. The new packaging for elf. The quads that was a dollar before is now 2 dollars.

The packaging looks really sleek. I like that its a little bit bigger than the old style. But the change of the packaging changes the whole makeup too. Changing the look should mean changing the quality too right? Well yeah, it did. The quality of the eye shadows from the old packaging was so good, the quality now is bad. It was so chalky. I tried it on, the eyeshadow wouldn't even stick to my lid. I swatches it and I had to really rub my fingers to get the desired color. But still, it wasn't that good.

All I could say is that I am very disappointed with this elf. Good thing I only brought two, or it would be a waste of my 2 dollars.

Scandaleyes! What?!

Aside from the cover girl jumbo gloss that I purchased before, I forgot to mention that I also got two eyeliners to try out. I haven't seen a lot of reviews about it on a blog or vlog. It's the Rommel scandaleyes waterproof kohl kajal eyeliner. I bought two colors, taupe and nude. I really like it, they glide in smoothly, they're soft but not to soft that when you put it the tip would break. No. And when they say waterproof, they mean waterproof. The only way you can remove it is with an eye makeup remover.

All in all, I really like this product. A high quality performance for a low price. These sell for $3.49 at Walmart. But if you go to cvs sometimes they have buy one get one half off. Below are the liners and swatches. On the left is the nude which is great to help open up your eye. An alternative to white eyeliner. And the right is taupe, which is good to use if you wanna do soft or natural makeup and do not want to use brown or black eyeliner.

Cover girl lip perfection! Perfection!

I recently bought the cover girl lip perfection jumbo gloss balm! And I am obsessed with it! It does not make your lips dry. The only thing is the color selection is not that much. And it didn't really caught my eye. I only got two out of all of it, the blush twist and watermelon twist. These two are like my favorite.

If you guys don't know, I'm a huge revlon fan. I really love revlon jumbo lips stains. But this is very comparable to the cover girls version of the jumbo lipsticks. I like both. Both have some hits and misses. The revlon one is a stain. The cover girl one is not. So you really have to reapply this every few min. I like the minty taste and feeling of revlon but I also like the smell and no taste version of cover girls'
