Collaboration review

Everybody knows my Instagram beauty account. Hopefully. And I met this iger her user name is jamlena. We talked about doing a collaboration. We were to pick 3 of our favorite items and we review it. She'll review what I picked and I'll review hers.

So she picked a foundation from Clinique, revlon sweet tart lip butter, Mac cranberry, and a mascara from maybeline. Unfortunately, I am allergic to clinique foundations. Last time I bought it and tried it, I had a nasty reaction to it and it's not even a breakout. It looks like I have hives. Lol.

The second item was revlon lip butter in sweet tarte, and I love this lippy. They are seriously my favorite that I had to buy the whole collection. Well, some of it were swiped by my sister already. These lippies are like what they're called very buttery, and moisturizing, for me atleast. This particular color is very ice. Not my favorite but I still like it. Here's the lippy and the swatch.

The third choice was Mac cranberry. Well, I don't have this color coz I'm not really a fan of dark plummy red color. But as a blogger, I did my research. Although I didn't buy it one, because there's no Mac where I live and second because I don't want to order it online just to buy one eyeshadow. But I looked at the swatch online and found a swatched at another bloggers blog named temptalia (you guys should really check out her blog) and she have a swatch and a dupe to go with it.

This is her swatches and dupes. So you guys who's thinking of buying this eyeshadow can have other choices.

So this is the end of this topic. I hope you guys liked it. Til the next blog.xoxo

Bobbi brown shimmer bricks

This makeup brand was introduced to me by a friend when we were working as a flight attendant in Bahrain. She was using the gel liner and during that time I wasn't really into makeup. But when I saw her using this I was like, hey that looks really good. She tried it on me and I immediately fell in love with the product. So when I got my first paycheck I went straight to the mall and bought the gel liner.

Now I'm still a fan of  Bobbi brown. And lately I've been into her shimmerbricks. These are awesome products you can use as a highlight or a blush. I have collected five of these slowly. They are $44 each which I think is worth the price. The packaging is black and very elegant. Ever since Bobbi came out with the shimmer bricks, a lot of brands high end or drug store made one too but I think nothing will compare with the quality of pigmentation, texture and color of Bobbi browns shimmer brick.

Here's my collection and swatches. See you guys on my next blog. Xoxo.

Clinique cheek pop blushes.

Ok so I know, this post is so late already. Like I said I just had a baby and I don't have time to blog because I was so busy doing DIYs for little bear.

Anyway, this past few weeks I have been loving these blushes from Clinique. Everybody was raving about this one, the packaging is cute, the product itself is excellent. So I gave in and ordered it online. I ordered 2 at first the cherry pop and plum pop after I received it and played with it, of course I had to buy the other two.

I am not joking when I say this is by far the best product from Clinique that I've ever tried. Usually their products break me out but this was awesome. Here are the blushes and the swatches.

They are permanent products of Clinique. If you don't have this, you need to get your hands on this because it's a life changer. They give you this flushed look which is what I like during spring/ summer. It's sheer but buildable. I personally like to build it up and let the color of the blush show since I'm always wearing bronzer. (Pale me) it looks so good and it goes so smooth.

I highly recommend this stuff. Let's all get popped! Xoxo.

June 2014 favorites

Time is flying by so fast! It's half a year already and soon all my favorite holidays will be here. But let's not jump ahead and enjoy our summer! It just started anyway! So let's start.

Foundation- I have been loving 2 foundations. One from the drugstore and one high end. From the drugstore, I love the l'oreal true match lumi. And the high end one is the Mac mineralize moisture with SPF 15 foundation. I have dry skin and both does a good job keeping my skin hydrated and make it look a little Dewey which is my thing winter OR summer.

Bronzer- my ever so favorite hoola bronzer from benefit. I hit pan on this already, that's how good it is.

Mascara- I used two mascaras one for the top and one for the bottom lashes. For the top, since I am a vib holder at sephora, I always get a travel size of benefits they're real mascara. I think I have 4 or 5 of these, and I love it. Once I ran out of it I will sure buy a full size. For the bottom lashes, I am loving the Clinique bottom lashes mascara. They're really made for it and it coats my bottom lashes perfectly without smearing or touching my skin.

Eyebrows- it takes a little bit of work using this but... But it's the perfect color for my eyebrows. It's waterproof and wouldn't budge which is very important to me.

Concealer- I have a lot of concealer, usually I always gravitate to my Mac prolong wear concealer but this month, maybeline age rewind won me over. Perfect for the under eye, and brightens up the face. In-love!

Eyes- I don't know why not a lot of people are raving about this palette. This is ahhmazzing! They are all matte perfect for me since I love matte shadows. They have colors that's good for blending and to darken the crease. Here's the swatches of the shadow.

If you follow me on Instagram, you will know  that I've been raving about the hourglass ambient lighting blush. They are so soft and creamy. I will have a blog all about the hourglass blushes and highlighters. So, one of my favorite YouTube guru is Jaclyn hill. She did a video something about favorite blushes for summer and she mentioned style, margin and sun basque by Mac. And of course I had to buy most of all the stuff that she raves about. But out of the three, I have been loving style. It's peach with shimmer and it doesn't look too much on my fair skin. Lastly is Mac mineralized skin finish in global glow. Perfect bronze highlighter.

And the last three favorites for this month is three lip products. The first one is revlon primrose. This for me is the perfect pink for summer. Now if I don't feel like wearing a lipstick, you will sure see me wearing a butter gloss from NYX in vanilla cream pie. Lastly, my monthly favorites won't be complete without a lippie from Mac. This month, it's vegas volt. It has just the right amount of orange on it. Great for day time or even night time.

So, this is all my favorites for the month of June. Share me your favorites too. Xoxo.

Mac lipstick swatches

Wow. I know it's been almost 1 year since I last posted. I was just a bit busy with my daughter attending pre-k to getting pregnant and trying to save money by doing DIY blankets, burp cloth, car seat canopy. I was not a bit but way too busy!

Today, I will be showing you guys some of my Mac lipstick swatches. This is not for me to brag or to show you guys how many I have but to help those beauty addict who haven't tried Mac lipsticks yet. I tried to put it together by color but I missed some.

These are some of my neutral lipstick. My most used one is pure zen, hue and creme cup. Japanese maple is a bit too light for me since I have fair skin it makes me look like I'm wearing a concealer. But, with a gloss it's perfect. Same with myth I need to use a pencil and gloss on top of it. Salute is a limited edition lipstick from the hey sailor collection.

Okay so I'm into the Kylie Jenner lip color right now and it's hard for me to tell which one she's wearing or if she's even wearing a Mac lipstick. So I tried my best to look for it. The original plan was to buy few lipstick, which in my case was 5 and if it's not right, I'll return it. (Btw there's no Mac store or macys or Dillard where they sell Mac here. I feel like I like in the desert, so I had to but it online.) anyway, I ended up liking all of them and of course I have to keep them. The closest color to Kylie's was brave. I love it so much.  Anyone who loves darker nudes take my advice and buy these colors.

Except for peach stock. Peachstock is so much better with darker skin tones. I'm keeping it for my makeup kit when I do freelance.

Ok so I totally messed up. I should have put peachstock here and creme in your coffee with the darker nudes. And sark companion on the first pic but who cares right? Warm companion was a limited edition too from god who knows which collection. Lol. It's a good uh hmmm... Topping? (Can't seem to find the right word) to another lipsticks. It's like a champagney color. Creme in your coffee reminds me of what my mom used to wear when she was younger. Not her teens but after having 4 kids. Lol. But you know what, I like it. This color for me is great for fall, when I'm super duper pale. Sushi kiss is from the orange collection, it's a matte finish and so good if you top it with a gloss too.

Ok, this is my summer go to lipsticks, the famous pink nouveau that we all know, they call it the Barbie pink. Lady danger, omg, I love this. Toying around is from the play land collection that came out this year. Flamingo was also from the orange collection that I think Mac made as a permanent lipstick.

This is where I got lazy color coordinating it. Lol. Dangerous and relentlessly red was from the retro matte collection. As much as I love these colors, it was just to drying for me. I still use it though. I just make sure I exfoliate and moisturize my lips and use lip pencil before I put this on. One thing I like about mattes, they last forever on your lips.

I am not gonna talk about every single lipstick, if you're wondering why I skipped a lot. Sweet experience was also from the play land collection and girl next door was from the Archie's collection. Who doesn't know about viva glam nicki? I think everybody owns this coz it was also a LE although it was out til the viva glam Rihanna came out. They also came out with a 2nd nick I lipstick but I didn't buy it coz I don't know where I'll wear it. It was like a lilac color.

Out of this six swatches, my most used one was Russian red. I was wearing this the whole winter time. And every time I had it on, people always ask me what I'm wearing. It's a good addition to your collection. Buy it. 😋

My last swatches. Darker colors. Rebel is my favorite. People need to own this.

I hope this helps a lot of Mac newbies. Thanks guys!

Too faced 15th anniversary palette

I've had this palette for a while now. Used it a couple of times and I really like it. This Palette has 10 eye shadows, 2 bronzers, a blush, a mini brush and travel size shadow insurance. If your someone who's always on the go, this is a great palette for you.

These are the swatches for the eyeshadow. Upper L-R: piano keys, so cal, TF 💛's the cast, jer jer, and 525 market. Lower L-R: behind the counter, soho, envy, David & Marj, and 1998.

Swatches for the bronzers and blush. L-R: chocolate soleil bronzer, sunny bunny bronzer, and who's your poppy blush.

I recently used this palette, and this is the look that I've made.

Of course I had to use my anastasia brow whiz. Primed my eyes with the shadow insurance that came with the palette. Behind the counter as my transition color, 525 market on the crease, 1998 on my lid, envy on the outer v and used this color to blend my eyeliner too. And lastly, piano keys on my tear duct and brow bone.

Makeup of the day July 11

Ever since I've started doing makeup I've been stick with neutrals. I'm always wearing browns, black, purple. Recently, I've been experimenting and trying to make my world more colorful. So here's my makeup of the day. Focusing on my eyes.

I used anastasia brow wiz to outline and the brow powder to fill it in. Soft ocre paintpot to prime my eyelids then I used soft brown eyeshadow by Mac as my transition color. Then I added nyx jumbo pencil in milk on my eyelid and applied #70 eyeshadow by inglot. From mac i used vibrant grape to my crease then I used ever after on my crease then blend it with #362 eyeshadow by inglot. Of course I had to darken my outer v with ever after eyeshadow from the too faced palette called romantic and lastly to make the outer v a little bit darker, I added black eyeshadow from the Lorac pro palette.

For my liner, I used sephora must have gel liner and drag it to my water line. Then I smudged the water line with ever after eye shadow. I added a false eyelashes and used vanilla on my brow bone and soul mates eyeshadow from too faced at my tear duct. Of course don't forget to apply mascara to your upper and lower lashes. And voila! We are done.

Hope you guys enjoy this look. Will be posting more.
